I'm so proud. It's 'only' a local paper, but important to an important part of an electorally important state in next year's elections ;-)
And Letters to the Editor are on of the best ways to get to the exact people who need to hear our views on issues like the gawdawful proposed state constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.
Oh goody, I get to repeat one of my favorite lines I've read around here in a while (can't recall who to tip for it, let me know and I'll give credit):
Follow me over the dead orange armadillo...
Two completely separate surveys find that even people here who oppose marriage equality don't want to enshrine the ban in the state constitution! A couple of good diaries written on that and my searching for them to link here is not working… ;-(
There's a lot to say about how this got to where it is, and how it got put with the R primary in the spring instead of the general election in November… and it's been said using much better writing than mine, soooooooooo...
I'm here now to ask that if you can, go over to the LTE and if you're a facebooker, 'like' it, click on the twitter button, and if you're really ambitious, respond to the mouth-breather who commented on it.
I'm not posting a live link for a reason, so the newspaper's site folk don't see a flood coming from here, it will look a little bit more organic. Okay, that's a nitpicky reason I know, but I'm like that ;-)
Please copy and paste the link address given below into your browser, and help us fight this, one person at a time.

It's easy (honest) and good for the soul.
Now, for those of you who need more in a diary than hot political action, here's a photo of my cat in a shoebox:
